SKOBSC members, family and friends,
September is upon us, bringing with it the joys of Spring and a long earned break from the football pitch. But with it, a tinge of sadness as the weekly grind to better our best is over for another year.
As I always say, the SKOB train rolls on with plenty of off field action running deep into September. Our annual Silly Sunday soiree saw the boys let their hair down following the season's end. With some great cosplay on show, the famous duos theme saw an alternative end to the great teamwork shown all season.
Back on the sporting field, our soccer boys proved their allegiance to the Old Boys community supporting SKOB Footy Club as they won their VAFA Grand Final. Rumour has it the Gaffer was Best on Ground in the banter stakes, defying his motherland heritage to prove you can teach an old dog new tricks.
We do, however, need to wrap up 2015 and we'll do so by rewarding those who've shone at the club at our Best & Fairest Evening on Friday October 9th. The Player Revue returns by popular demand with the Players' Player, Clubman and Coach's awards rounding out the formalities on our annual night of nights.
